Side Hustle 101 is an essential and indispensable tool to invest in before starting your side hustle or growing your small business. I'm so thankful for the deep insights and guidance received both in group and individually before launching my business!

Angèle Adote

I liked the approach that adapted to people who are working while dealing with their side hustle. Usually programs for entrepreneurs look like they are assuming by default that we are on this on a full time basis, sometimes it's frustrating.

What Our Alumni Are Saying

Annika Ericsson Kidd

Side hustle 101 taught me the stuff that really matters when you are thinking about starting your own business. Many other courses geared towards entrepreneurs or wannabee entrepreneurs are often very pragmatic and practical. They talk about how to get a licence, how to register your business, how to build a website, how to market etc. Side hustle 101 touches on that too, but does a much better job at having the participants really understand their business ideas, if they are viable, and if anyone really needs them.

It is a "soul searching" course that makes one look inward first, and then act outward through the Side hustle community and beyond. Jeff and the others really helped me over the hurdle of not taking my ideas seriously, and feeling like an imposter in the entrepreneur world. The laidback feeling of the course helped me "feel at home and taken care of". And at the same time the course constantly challenged me to REALLY think things through, to analyze and do better.

I would highly recommend the Side hustle 101 course for anyone who is thinking about taking a step towards entrepreneurship.

Meet Your Instructor

In a past life, Jeff was a high school English and ESL teacher. He left the traditional workplace of the past in 2012 looking for more autonomy, meaning & money through entrepreneurship. He spent the first 2.5 years of that journey doing pretty much nothing but failing. Making mistakes. Falling down. Trying to get back up. Holding space in Side Hustle 101 to acknowledge and normalize these realities of side hustling is where the course begins.

Today, Jeff is pursuing the currencies that matter most to him through a portfolio approach to his professional life. He is growing an adaptable portfolio of work through side hustling that currently includes:

  • Leading side hustle programming and building partnerships with The Maker's Collective.
  • Running a freelance business working with large organizations, and post-secondary institutions, to create and launch new courses and educational products.
  • Delivering training & coaching to small business owners through a range of nonprofit organizations.

What lights him up more than anything is leading Side Hustle 101 to support  grassroots creators, makers, artists and other creative entrepreneurs who want to walk their own walk. We live in a time of individual empowerment and Jeff believes that building a portfolio of work through side hustling is the key to re-designing your life and creating your future.

Side Hustle 101 has helped to launch over 300 Side Hustles!

Are you ready to set yourself up for an entrepreneurial journey in 2022? You know that business idea you have been kicking around for months, or maybe years?
